SIGMA Group is looking for a Project Manager to plan and oversee project support within our Integration division. The Integration Project Manager will collaborate with the SIGMA Sales group to understand timelines and deliverables. She/he will then create and execute a plan to drive our projects to completion, with goals of being on-time and under budget. This person should have experience in estimating, budgeting, organizing, implementing and scheduling of projects. This person should have a passion to learn the industry, business needs of the company and look at opportunities for growing the project teams.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Gain knowledge of all SIGMA Group divisions
- Develop a plan with timelines and milestones to have the equipment repaired, integrated and installed at the client site.
- Responsible for ensuring the project/area is completed in a safe, ethical manner, and in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. This includes assigned employees, contractors and subcontractors
- Strong attention to detail on project deliverables and timelines
- Maintain strong relationships and communication with SIGMA management, contractors, and Integration clients and stakeholders.
- Hiring of subcontractors / vendors including negotiations, sub agreements, material agreements and PO's
- Engage, hire, manage 3rd party resources' (engineering, subject matter experts, consultants, etc.)
- Management of subcontractors and vendors schedule, performance, and payments.
- Lead project meetings, including project team and stakeholder and client
- Ensure timely communication as required to client and stakeholders - extra work, design changes, delays, impacts, etc.
- Project submittals, process RFIs & shop drawings, as required by the operation's manager
- Manage and/or coordinate onsite personnel, equipment and material resources
- Manage the project budget
- Compile reports regarding financial, schedule and production reports as needed
- Prepare and coordinate payments from owner and ensure timely payments
- Develop and maintain the project schedule in sync with the project budget
- Develop and maintain site logistics plan with internal staff or customer site
- Lead in the development of project estimates and change orders.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with engineering, business administration or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in project management related role; PMP certification a plus
- Motivated, self starter, with willingness to lead teams
- Ability to collaborate with, and work in a team environment
- Strong ability to adapt as project changes occur
- Experience in project development and directing project teams
- Ability to manage projects from development to closure
- Exceptional professional presence, strong communication skills - verbal and written; must be able to communicate with all levels of personnel
- Proficient in writing and creating documents, presentations and spreadsheets
- Maturity and professionalism to effectively handle frequent exposure to senior members at Sigma as well as external organizations, customers and public.
- Must possess exceptional and strong attention to detail
Travel expectations:Travel expectation will vary based on active project workload. The intent is for this role to travel up to 20% of the year.The CAD Specialist will be involved with integrated manufacturing line projects from quote stage to final engineering. The specialist will collect drawings, data and notes involved in integration project development.These lines will include the use of new and used processing and packaging equipment. This position will assist the integration team with meeting critical deadlines and expectations set by the customer.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Shared resource between integration team and applications/pricing area
- Use CAD software to create technical drawings from rough sketches and specifications
- Add details to drawings, such as dimensions, materials and procedures - ability to edit as needed
- Communicate your design recommendations to our integration project team, working directly with manufacturing systems engineer
- Assist as a technical liaison between customer, SIGMA sales teams, SIGMA technical staff
- Assist with file management, scanning, and plotting
- Work directly with automation firms or in house automation team to ensure that all machines are communicating appropriately to meet the project requirements
- Provide timely services that meet the needs of the clients and the overall project schedule requirements; can multi task several projects at once
- Stay abreast of relevant industry developments and technology advancements
- Troubleshoot and problem solve for existing customer-owned processing and packaging equipment.
- Ability to learn operation and maintenance of processing and packaging equipment
- Work cross-functionally between all teams
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in AutoCAD; solid understanding of design principles
- Proficient in Google Suite
- Proficient with Solid Works
- Basic estimating knowledge
- Ability to read and understand drawings and technical specifications
- Ensure that drawings are accurate and meet industry and safety standards
- Interprets and ensures conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures
- Works closely with Engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated design systems
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
- Good attention to detail and the ability to recognize discrepancies
- Strong problem solving skills
- Willingness to learn client's budgetary development and return on investment constraints
- Ability to travel up to 20%
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree in drafting or related field from technical or community college
- Previous experience in CAD and design work; professional certifications a plus (ADDA)
