OverviewProject Manager (NCOMSLS):Bowhead is seeking a Project Manager for the NAVAIR Command Strategic Leadership Support Services upcoming effort in Patuxent River, MD. The NAVAIR Command Strategic Leadership Support Services program will focus on researching on the current philosophy and strategic initiatives within the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Navy (DoN), and the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) including the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) as well as the other services. The Project Manager analyzes and coordinates the schedule, timeline, procurement, staffing, and budget of a product or service on a per project basis. As well as leads and guide the work of technical staff. They may serve as a point of contact for the client or customer.ResponsibilitiesEnsure project procedures and controls are followed, manage manning and staffing project efforts, and lead problem resolution efforts.Interface with system or program contractors, vendors, and Government representatives regarding the technical aspects of the programs/projects.Must have experience supporting senior Navy and DoD leadership liaison operations, providing facilities management.Analyze and coordinate the schedule, timeline, procurement, staffing, and budget of a product or service.Applies government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management and data management.Other duties as assigned.Bowhead seeks to network with qualified individuals relative to a potential opportunity, which is contingent upon award and not currently funded. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: an AS or AA degree in Business or Project Management and eight (8) years of experience in business administration.At least 5 years' experience, with at least 2 years of supervisory/lead experience required, including financial management and admin activities experience.Experience performing complex evaluations of existing procedures, processes, communication techniques, models, and/or systems related to management problems for a Chief of Staff for a major Legislative or Department of Defense (DoD) Echelon Command / Secretariat; past experience supporting a Navy or Marine Corps Command Element preferred.Demonstrated knowledge of management and operations of Department of Navy Systems Commands.The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000- $180,000. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other laws.Physical Demands:Must be able to lift up to 15 poundsMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodicallySECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.
