Job Description The overall objective of this position is to manage and facilitate the execution of each project throughout its lifecycle, from conception to completion, so that they are delivered on time and meet clients' needs. •Ensure on-time delivery of quality products that meet client needs by actively managing project schedules and resources, including: o Coordinate with application engineers and other subject matter experts to ensure the completion of project datasheets. o Reviewing project quotes, quote letters, and cost work-ups to ensure projects are presented to clients accurately and in a timely manner. o Driving internal project kickoff meetings and keeping all key personnel informed of project details at the start of the project. o Reviewing project schedule reports, monitoring and verifying schedules with operations, and communicating all project schedule dates and changes to the Master Production Scheduler. o Collaborating with the Engineering Department to ensure design reviews and submittal drawings are completed within project schedules and submit approved drawings, specs, and revisions to clients. o Processing OP code change requests and material requisitions so that materials arrive on time to support production schedules. o Collaborating with the Engineering, Manufacturing, and the Master Production Scheduler to ensure drawings are released to manufacturing on-time in order to meet project schedule, and resolve discrepancies. o Coordinating the testing schedule with the Manufacturing Department so that proper Point Eight Power and client representation are available throughout the testing process. o Coordinating logistics (lift plans and weights, if necessary) and shipment of product with Material Management Department and collecting proper documentation (e.g., shipping instructions, ship short items, ship loose items). o Documenting and approving updates to a project through Project Change Orders o Verifying and maintaining the accuracy and consistency of project schedule information within our project management software so that it can be communicated to both internal and external stakeholders. o Ensuring quality standards are being met throughout project life cycles. o Direct technical questions related to projects to appropriate application engineers. •Manage the client relationship to ensure high levels of satisfaction by: o Serving as the main point of contact to internal and external project stakeholders by managing information flow between clients and various departments concerning status updates, schedule changes, design approvals, expectations, and risks throughout the life cycle of a project. o Mitigate and manage project risks by communicating ongoing project status and lead problem solving efforts to facilitate issue resolution. o Coordinating Point Eight Power's response and action to any warranty or field installation issues that may arise at the client job site. •Support strategy development and execution by participating in initiatives that reduce project costs and cycle time, while improving quality through innovation. •Develop tools and best practices for project management and execution to help deliver our client value proposition. Ability to negotiate, make decisions, influence, lead, and resolve conflict. •Production and Processing: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. •Math Skills: This position requires intermediate skills (calculate figures/discounts, proportions, area, basic descriptive statistics, etc.) •Computers and Electronics: Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming such as Microsoft Office Business Suite, CRM software, and Adobe Acrobat software. Knowledge of accounting software, such as the AS400. •Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. •Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. •Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. •Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. Experience •Five years of experience managing projects in a manufacturing environment required. •Five years of experience working in the oil and gas, marine, electrical equipment, or offshore buildings (fixed and floating platforms) industries, preferred.
