Position Summary

  • Navigation And non-radar Surveillance (NAS) business segment, part of the Land and Air Systems Global Business Unit, architects' solutions used by over two-thirds of all planes worldwide to take off and land safely. Our Ground Navigation portfolio offers a complete range of products, which includes the latest generation of ground-based navigational aids (NAVAIDs) (e.g. ILS, DME, TACAN, VOR) and non-radar surveillance (e.g. ADS-B). With more than 10,000 NAVAIDs and non-radar surveillance installed worldwide in 180 countries, we are world leaders in the NAVAIDs market. is currently looking for a Program Manager to work ONSITE (can be hybrid) located in Salt Lake City, UT USA. In this position the Program Manager would manager and oversee build to print program for manufacturing Navigation equipment.
  • The candidate is responsible for the cost, schedule performance and risk management for assigned programs.
  • Coordinates with internal organizations, to communicate requirements and execute the program with technical accuracy, consistency and as well as managing the communications and relations with various stakeholder and team members.

Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Manage the relationship for the program:
  • Lead interactions for the project/program
  • Inform the stakeholders regularly and with full transparency of the program progress
  • Prepare and realize reviews with the project stakeholders, in particular acceptance reviews
  • Manage and implement change requests

Guarantee the delivery of the solution within the deadlines:

  • By respecting the project baseline and goals while meeting the requirements and expectations of the project charter
  • By respecting the cost objective (assigned costs), while trying constantly to reduce the costs, to manage the risks with caution and to take advantage of internal and external opportunities

Set up and manage the baseline of the program:

  • Drive the project to ensure stakeholder satisfaction by meeting deadlines, quality specifications, and project profitability
  • Regular and reliable updates of the Estimated Cost At Completion
  • Deliver solutions that are cost effective, easy to operate, and generate value

Manage the program team:

  • Make the necessary measures to actively mitigate all project risks and contingencies
  • Ensure all team members share relevant, coherent and latest information
  • Bachelors degree in an appropriate discipline with a minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in program management in the field of aerospace/avionics or in a similar technical field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to work in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Can manage scope and requirements autonomously.
  • Experience with ERP tools SAP
  • Experience performing risk management activities.
  • Experience planning for the various stages of transformational and transitional change, recognizing how people react to it and how it affects the organization.
