Job Description:

A leading construction firm in downtown St. Louis is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team, specializing in multifamily residential projects. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with a strong background in multifamily construction, and experience with low-income housing projects is a plus.

Position Summary:

As a Project Manager, youll oversee the successful planning, execution, and completion of multifamily construction projects, ensuring they stay on time, on budget, and meet quality standards. This position offers an opportunity to lead impactful projects that enhance the St. Louis community, with a focus on efficient project management, team coordination, and excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of multifamily construction projects, from pre-construction through close-out, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Team Leadership: Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and address issues as they arise.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Prepare and maintain project budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving strategies to ensure project profitability.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary contact for clients and key stakeholders, maintaining clear and timely communication on project updates and milestones.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure that all construction activities meet required safety, quality, and regulatory standards, with an emphasis on compliance with local codes.
  • Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively across project phases, maintaining a balance of labor, materials, and equipment for optimal project flow.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on multifamily residential construction.
  • Proven experience with low-income housing projects is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and regulations specific to multifamily developments.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) and MS Office.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working on multifamily housing projects in urban settings.
  • Familiarity with government-funded or subsidized housing programs.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring projects remain on track and within budget.
