Tasks:
A. Prepare Project Management Plans (PMP)
- Must cover a detailed scope of services, including elements such as staffing, governance, risk, communication, and change management.
- Submit plans to the Departments Contract Manager for approval.
B. Review and Update PMP
- Ensure regular review and submission of changes to the Contract Manager. Follow an established change management process.
C. Legislative and Operational Documentation
- Prepare key project documentation such as Legislative Budget Requests (LBR), Statements of Work (SOW), and Operational Work Plans (OWP).
D. Schedule Management
- Develop and submit a detailed MS Project (or equivalent) schedule, accounting for project team availability and clear task management.
E. Monitor and Update Schedule
- Regularly review the project schedule and provide updates or risks to the Contract Manager.
Minimum Qualifications for the Candidate:
Strong communication skills. PMP certification is required. 10+ years of IT industry experience. 7+ years of project management experience. Experience with Agile methodologies. 5+ years managing projects according to PMI/PMBOK standards. 3+ years developing program/project strategy. 3+ years managing large, cross-functional software projects. Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with Florida PALM project and FLAIR data. Experience in managing projects that involve multiple legacy systems. Competency in handling Agile Methodologies, JAD sessions, and LBR/SOW/OWP. Experience working with State Purchasing and Information Technology processes in Florida. Educational Qualifications:
- A bachelors degree in computer science, management information systems, or relevant IT work experience (5 years minimum).
