Job Description:

This OpportunityWSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time Project Manager for our Chicago, IL office. Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.Your ImpactMust be knowledgeable of various client construction specifications and contract management.Supervise, develop and train field staff and other construction support staff assigned to a project.Supervise and conduct the inspection and review of work in accordance with applicable codes and standards included in the project drawings and specifications.Serves as the technical representative for the management and inspection of contractor construction activities, payments, processing and negotiation of claims and change orders.Acts as the primary point of contact between the client, engineering team, and contractors.Manages the construction management team consisting of engineers, inspectors, project control, office engineers, project administrators, and sub-consultants.Review and make recommendations for contractors' project schedules and non-conforming work.Analyze and negotiate contract change orders.Represents projects at meetings and conferences.Apply diversified knowledge of construction engineering principles and practices and independently makes decisions on significant construction engineering problems.Meeting with prospective clients to learn about future CM pursuit opportunities.Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.Who You AreRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or other relevant discipline.Minimum of 10 years of construction management experience.Experience with public transportation and rail projects.Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced certification, such as a Professional Engineer's (PE) License, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification, or the ability to obtain license/certification within 12 months.AREMA, CMAA, or other technical association involvement.#J-18808-Ljbffr
