Project Managerat SMX(View all jobs) ( StatesSMX is seeking a Project Manager to join the integrated program management office (PMO) and support the Mission Solutions Group portfolio of programs. This position is responsible for the management and direction of the day-to-day operations of contract cost, schedule, and performance execution. The ideal candidate will provide leadership to the program team on staffing, training, administrative oversight, operations management, workforce management, budgets, sub-contracting, and property management. The position requires periodic travel to customer-designated work sites.This position requires a TS/SCI clearance which requires US citizenship for work on a DoD contract.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAllocates appropriate resources to ensure projects are completed within given time and budgetUtilizes corporate QMS processes to track program/project schedule and costReports status, develops program/project-related documentation, implements lessons learned andupdates and maintains production and quality metrics for assigned program and projectsSupports the MSG Business Unit with business development activities to include new market capture opportunities and proposal developmentIdentifies and supports the capture of additional workshare within current contractsIdentifies and shapes prime and subcontract opportunities for SMX with customers in current and emerging marketsConducts operational planning, execution and evaluation of a multi-faceted program that requires collaboration with customers to identify new project opportunitiesOrchestrates/develops operational data calls, report outs, and performance products as required to support and bolster SMX posture for current and future businessEnsures that contract service, quality, and performance requirements are met and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOP) is maintainedAdvises of any contractual issues that may result in Contracting Office action and of any anticipated or proposed adverse personnel actionsEstablishes and maintains effective working relationships with the Government's program managers, Contracting Officers (CO), CO Representatives (COR), and Alternate CORs in support of the ProgramWork cooperatively with PMO leadership to develop short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures in accordance with contract parametersWork with human resources and talent acquisition to manage and oversee the recruitment, hiring, retention and development, training, and compensation of employees to assure compliance with contract requirements and HR policiesRequired Skills & ExperienceTS/SCI eligibilityBachelor's degree in business, management, or a related disciplineRelevant experience can be substituted for a degreePrevious experience in C6ISR operations, preferably in a leadership roleAble to communicate objectives and requirements effectively to military and civilian personnelExperience interacting with and briefing senior government and industry acquisition leaders on topics related to programmatic, technology and financial statusKnowledge of process improvement techniques and ability to direct improvement initiativesBudget management and execution experienceBusiness development and technical proposal writing skillsPrevious experience supporting large contracts leading complex development, production, fielding of platforms, and/or support initiatives with technical objectivesSkilled coordinator of many different organizations and entities operating on a constantly daily updating scheduleCustomer focusedCapacity to learn rapidly and adapt quickly to changeDesired Skills & Experience10+ years of management/supervision experience in aviation-related operations, logistics, or engineering fields/programsCurrent Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional, Program Management Professional (PMP) or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III Program Management certification, or ability to complete PMP requirements within 6 months of onboardingApplication Deadline: November 25, 2024#LI-AP1 #CJPOSTThe SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
