Overview
The Project Manager's role is to work with limited supervision, plan, execute, provide leadership and direction to ensure projects are completed on schedule and meet both cost and profit objectives. This includes coordinating all team members as well as any subcontractors in order to complete projects according to plan. The Project Manager is also responsible for defining the project's objectives and overseeing quality control of the project. Building and maintaining customer and client relationships are absolutely key in ensuring future work opportunities are sustained.

Key Responsibilities
* Maintain adherence to company standards of safety
* Review proposals, contract requirements and documents. Insure that project costs are accurately estimated and that profit targets are met with supervisor's involvement.
* Lead constructability review meetings to determine the most cost effective construction methods while exhibiting continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes through the execution of the Ryan Drill Process.
* Follow established job processes (RFI, submittals, change orders, pay applications, etc.)
* Perform project scheduling and ensure clear path to project delivery.
* Ensure project quality control.
* Pre-process pay application requests and assists with collections.
* Pre-approve pay applications for Vendors and Subcontractors on the project
* Maintain excellent Customer relationships
* Negotiate subcontractor pricing and issue Purchase Orders and Subcontracts with supervisor's involvement.
* Input and manage project budget and projections
* Ensure that required documentation is filed and permits are obtained.
* Work with customer to resolve open issues and recover or avoid any additional costs that might be incurred due to changes with supervisor's involvement.
* Oversee and manage the design and labor throughout the project to keep it on schedule and on budget. Track labor efficiency.
* Work with designers to prepare and understand detailed working fire sprinkler system drawings in accordance with contract documents.
* Perform or assist with field surveys, coordination of piping locations with other trades.
* Attend project site meetings as required.
* Maintain an extensive knowledge of the latest codes, standards, materials, methods of design and installation.
* Maintain a thorough working knowledge of AutoCAD, HydraBID, HydraCALC, HydraLIST, HydraCAD and Viewpoint programs
* Demonstrate a thorough understanding of hydraulic calculations, wet, dry, pre-action fire protection systems, fire pumps and underground piping.
* Provide timely, accurate, concise written and verbal communication on the status of the project to the customer, management and the project team
* Be an example to others regarding company culture and core values.
Skills, Education and Experience
* 3 to 5 years of experience in the fire protection industry or related construction industry experience
* NICET Level III preferred
* Applicable Bachelor Degree preferred
* Proficient understanding of commercial, residential or industrial building construction practices, procedures and techniques, as well as applicable local, state and federal building codes
* Thorough and attentive to details, able to prioritize, proactive and deadline oriented
* Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills
Ability to:
* Work in a fast paced, team oriented environment
* Work without supervision and make appropriate decisions
* Process work with accuracy and within timeline required
