My client, a global leader in the automotive industry, specializing in engineered materials and applications, is currently seeking a Project Manager to oversee their automotive OEM customers. This position is a multifaceted role, encompassing various competencies and responsibilities related to customer relationship management, project oversight, sales management, and technical product management.
This role serves a crucial link between the in-house teams (purchasing, planning, engineering, laboratory, R&D and Plant Management), and the company's valued customers; ensuring seamless coordination for the on-time delivery of both ongoing and new projects, all geared towards the attainment of the business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage sales revenue and supply share, ensuring the company's strong position within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Oversee the approval process and introduction of new technologies and products at the relevant plants.
- Implement the sales and market development strategy at the assigned plants, aligning with the established account goals.
- Maximize sales potential across all plants in the region.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations within the region by defining and communicating customer requirements for development projects.
- Adhere to processes such as PPAP, Customer Concerns, APQP, and others as appropriate.
- Identify and define customer needs and trends to inform sales strategies or development projects, keeping all relevant departments updated.
- Coordinate necessary actions to ensure timely product approvals from process departments.
- Organize line trials in the plants within the region to support product supply.
- Build and maintain key customer relationships at the plants within the assigned region.
The ideal candidate should have:
- B.A./B.S in Business Degree or related field preferred.
- 6 years of experience customer technical support highly preferred.
- At least 6 years of Project Management Experience in the Automotive Manufacturing Industry
- Excellent Organizational, Oral, and written communication skills.
- Lean Manufacturing Experience
- Excel required and QAD or other Systems experience preferred.
- PMP preferred
