Job DescriptionStrategic Project Manager The Project Manager will define, scope, and manage large, complex projects while working with senior management to ensure business objectives are achieved.Day-to-day responsibilities: Manage teams across functional boundaries, both internal and external. Develop, implement and evaluate strategic plans, goals and objectives. Contribute to the production of program reports, materials, and content. Oversee program plans and tracking of progress and changes. Provide and communicate overall vision and direction for program. Drive strategic roadmap both for product features, technology and overall business development. Assist in the management and supervision of program staff. Manage and complete assigned work plan objectives and projects on a timely basis. Seek opportunities to make improvements to team efficiency and process. Provide guidance and role modeling to all members. Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules. Direct project management of large-scale complex project(s) that will involve multiple internal and external stakeholders Adherence to the Change Framework, ensuring quality of project reporting via Kroll deployed program management tools. Evaluate trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value Manage detailed plans across the critical path to deliverance of project objectives, engaging with stakeholders and critically assessing requirements Anticipate issues and delays, and evaluate trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value, effectively assessing and resolving high priority project risks. Define and report on project progress and achievement of project milestones, regularly updating key and senior stakeholders on project status. Validate, track and forecast financial forecasts and provide on-going reconciliation of project expenditures and key financial metrics against targets, applying insights from the business to make recommendations to effectively manage budget. Partner with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects Responsible for facilitating and chairing regular project meetings, and follow-up with project team members as required including the preparation, collation, and distribution of project status reports, ad hoc presentations, and reporting (including executive and senior management reporting).Essential traits: More than 10 years of experience and knowledge of large scale, global, change program and portfolio management Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels Excellent at managing and influencing a wide network of stakeholders, including senior management, who can influence and build relationships Strong planning, organizational, and coaching skills Willing and able to challenge customers and stakeholders to better understand their needs Expert knowledge of financial management, risk, and project management methodologies Excellent documentation skills; ability to create high quality steering committee materials Background in working across a number of different sectors both business and IT related projects/programs
