The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing a variety of projects, ensuring efficient operations, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with quality standards. The role will focus on optimizing new product development and renovation, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the operations.Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Development Project Management: Lead and manage all product development projects from concept through to execution, including new product packaging development, redesigns, and cost saving initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement and drive continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with internal teams such as R&D, production, marketing, compliance, and procurement to ensure projects meet company goals and timelines.
  • Supplier Coordination: Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues related to quality or cost.
  • Process Optimization: Identify areas of inefficiency within current processes and lead efforts to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve output.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Anticipate potential risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Cost Control: Manage project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities in materials, processes, and resources.
  • Data Analysis: Use data-driven decision-making to monitor project performance and optimize packaging processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all packaging materials and processes comply with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Packaging industry experience: 2-5 years of experience in project management - in a manufacturing or CPG focused role.
  • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
  • Certifications: PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other project management/process improvement certifications preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging materials, machinery, and cannabis operations.
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, or equivalent).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities for cost and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in packaging.
