Position Title: JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Position Purpose:
The Junior Project Manager is responsible assisting the Project Manager to track, coordinate, evaluate, and execution of engineer to order manufacturing projects & associated contracts to meet customer specifications, company standards of safety, quality, timely completion, cost & profitability. Salary range $60,000 - $90,000 annual commensurate with education and experience with bonus potential based on achieving metrics.

Responsibilities:
* Assist sales, engineering, and operations in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
* Identifies potential project risks and assists to develop/implement strategies to minimize impact and develop and implement strategies for controlling deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
* Assists sales, manufacturing and planning/scheduling in monitoring and expediting the flow of job orders within or between departments & sub-contractors to ensure prompt progress of goods to conform with production schedules and on time delivery to customers
* Assists Quality in maintaining accurate and up to date records of project status, engineering or customer requested changes and other control records necessary for customer compliance of document submittals.
* Communication with customer's Project Managers and Expeditors.
* Creation of Inspection Test Plans (ITP's) and Manufacturing schedules for customers.
* Report project status to internal and external customers.
* Communicates with internal and external customers regarding project status.
* Serve as a secondary post order contact for representatives and customers. Assist with contracts on a contract-by contract basis, to ensure that compliance with all contractual requirements is scheduled and fulfilled per the contract.
* Coordinate contract modifications made by customers with Sales, Quality, Engineering, Production Planning and/or Manufacturing disciplines to ensure all technical and commercial considerations have been satisfied. May be required to work with Sales on the proper selling value and lead-time.
* Assist Project Manager to maintain relationships with sub-contractors, identifying issues, and execution of corrective action plans to remedy any issues.
* May require outside visits to customers/suppliers locations as needed.
* Focus to be geared towards high volume aftermarket orders, including gaskets & gasket cutter.
* Assist in small market orders from Release to Execution.
* Support on final document generation required to release for shipment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering required from a four-year college, 1-2 years of experience in a sales or manufacturing role.
Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, assembly, testing and painting
Financial acumen demonstrated by creating budgets and managing costs.
Supply chain, planning & scheduling, customer service, and quality experiences in a manufacturing operations environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage and drive multiple high impact projects
Demonstrated ability to communicate credibly across all levels & functions within the organization
Excellent organizational and analytical skills, process and detailed oriented, a self-starter who is highly motivated to obtain goals/results
Ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities
Demonstrated ability to define problems, measure/collect data, establish facts and analyze data, select and implement solutions and control/sustain outcomes.
Project Management Professional certification or Lean Six-Sigma certifications a plus.
Working knowledge / experience with ERP planning. Plex experience a plus.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Programs (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook)
Perform other related duties as assigned.
