CAPEX Project Manager - Site & Infrastructure - Maryland - 12-Month Contract This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Maryland, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of the site and infrastructure portion of a greenfield CAPEX project focused on the construction of a new pharmaceutical API plant at the Lebanon location.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, facilities, and regulatory affairs, to drive project success.
- Oversee the selection and management of contractors and vendors involved in the project, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Monitor and control project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project status to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and achievements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing capital projects in the life science industry, oil and gas or chemical industry.
- Proven track record of successfully leading capital projects with budgets exceeding $100 million.
- Experience overseeing site and infrastructure development for large-scale projects is highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, manage resources, and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including FDA regulations and cGMP guidelines, is preferred.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
