Our client north of Morgantown, PA is looking to add a Project Manager for a 6 month contract opportunity! This person will be managing all aspects of projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and in line with contractual requirements. It is preferred that candidates for this role come with an AS/BS Degree in engineering or business, as well as 3 years of relevant experience. responsibilities:
+ Manage customer sales orders and projects from the point of order confirmation through equipment installation, start-up, and customer payment, acting as the primary contact for customers after the project order is received.
+ After the project is awarded, gather and organize all relevant information, such as proposal documents, order processing details, and related emails.
+ Track project progress using tools like SAP, Microsoft Project, Excel, etc.
+ Develop project budgets, schedules, and plans for different project elements, ensuring that goals are met or exceeded.
+ Set the design criteria and initial engineering requirements for the project, overseeing the final engineering and construction to ensure they meet these standards.
+ Mobilize engineering teams, documentation control, and support staff as needed.
+ Coordinate activities between the Purchasing Department, sub-vendors, and act as the company's representative with the customer and vendors during project execution.
+ Monitor, document, and report on project progress, including key milestones and any conditions that may impact cost or schedule.
+ Negotiate changes to the project scope with the customer and explore opportunities for additional work.
+ Develop and implement action plans to address potential cost overruns, keeping both the customer and management informed of any changes.
+ Promote technical excellence throughout the project, including supporting the Quality Improvement Process.
+ Provide regular updates and post Project Status reports for all active projects managed by the department.
+ Verify project terms and conditions with Corporate Legal and ensure compliance throughout the project.
+ Coordinate and arrange necessary activities for factory visitors, including Factory Acceptance Tests or other inspections as needed.
+ Assist in the ongoing development and improvement of the Project Management Department.
