Project Manager Electrical & Solar Construction Projects

Location: Massachusetts

We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to oversee multiple electrical utility distribution, substation, and solar field construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale solar construction projects, ensuring that they meet scope, budget, and timeline expectations. This role involves overseeing projects ranging from under $1M to $25M in size and working closely with customers to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects from start to finish.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the project team.
  • Coordinate and attend project planning, design, and site meetings.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to project schedules and delivery dates.
  • Review project designs and ensure compliance with codes and contract requirements.
  • Manage and track all project-related documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and contract changes.
  • Control project costs to ensure alignment with the prescribed budget.
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with clients and stakeholders.
  • Support the project team with safety compliance and training.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, ideally in electrical utility, substation, or solar construction.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint. Experience with construction management software such as Primavera is a plus.
  • Experience managing large-scale construction projects, including tracking schedules, budgets, and documentation.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • OSHA safety training preferred.
  • Prior experience with federal or state contracts is a plus.
