My client is a well-established and respected construction company specializing in water and wastewater treatment plant projects. They are dedicated to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions that support sustainable water management and environmental stewardship.

Position Overview:

My client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of water and wastewater treatment plant projects in the Phoenix area. This individual will oversee all aspects of project management, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of water and wastewater treatment plant construction projects, from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful project execution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Lead project teams, including engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors, to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address challenges to avoid delays and cost overruns.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control protocols.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates to stakeholders, including progress reports, change orders, and financial forecasts.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across all project activities.

Qualifications:

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on water and wastewater treatment plant projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes related to water infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgetary constraints.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to water and wastewater construction projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
