ULTRA Company General Contractors has openings for Experienced Assistant Project Managers for Tenant Interiors and Base Building Renovation Projects. As our Assistant Project Manager, you will have numerous responsibilities supporting our Project Management Teams. Working beside highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Managers, you will receive a wide range of knowledge to help you expand your capabilities beyond your expectations. Skills & Qualifications Four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, architecture, or business, or In lieu of a four-year degree, additional construction management work experience with a two-year degree will be considered 2-3 years' experience in commercial construction, including APM experience with a commercial general contractor Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents Solid organizational, record-keeping and follow-up skills Demonstrated excellence with organization and time management skills Must be an initiative-taker and a problem solver Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements maintaining composure and professionalism Strong, clear communicator both written and verbal Exhibit respectfulness by being punctual, engaged/focused and respectful of others Responsibilities (Examples) Handle all required documentation correctly, on schedule, and professionally Assist in creating and managing project budgets for all assigned projects Develop pre-construction RFP packages and support the bidding process Assist in conducting project meetings, setting, and managing schedules and completing monthly reports for projects Prepare subcontractor contracts for Project Manager approval Execute project management tasks (RFIs, submittals, pay applications, change orders) Ensure project quality control standards are met Work closely with field superintendents and subcontractors to keep accurate daily reports Compile information and pricing as directed by Project Managers Assure project logistics, communications, and planning functions are correctly executed and implemented Aid in managing the closeout process Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project guaranteeing a positive client experience Handle assigned tasks from Project Managers Job Type: Full-Time Pay: Base $70,000 Schedule: Monday to Friday Experience: Commercial Construction APM: 2 years (Required) Procore: 1 year License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) OSHA 10 (Preferred) Work Location: In-Office with Weekly Site Visits Employment Type: Full Time Bonus/Commission: No
