PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This class of positions encompasses professional work of varying degrees of difficulty in the execution of various capital projects. There are two Assignment Levels, and all personnel perform related work
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares project implementation schedules with consideration given to scope of project, urgency, availability of resources and other factors relevant to the determination of timetables for each assigned facility.
- Studies work progress, reviews schedules and monitors progress of all groups.
- Evaluates cost, project budget, prepares cost statements and analyses and makes appropriate recommendations.
- Monitors equipment procurement, delivery, and installations on all projects involving
- Schedules and attends coordination meetings and conferences with all representatives as appropriate, of corporate management, City or state-wide regulating agencies, the project team, and consulting architects or engineers involved in the project and /or program.
- Supervises, evaluates performances, and makes recommendations to Contracted Vendors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, architecture, construction management or in an approved related program; and Five years of responsible capital program implementation-related experience, including at least two years in administration, management, or expediting substantial phases of capital projects; and Ability to handle complex, allied, technical and commercial problems related to various project management functions with independent judgment, tact, and initiative. Related experience may be substituted on a basis of two years of experience to one year of education. Graduate education may be substituted for up to one year of experience.
