Upon commencement of the role, the Transition project manager will be responsible for the creation and delivery of the Social Services Data Warehouse (SSDW) Transition plan. The Transition PM will lead a team that documents business processes, technical architecture, and reporting being produced by the current state SSDW, with the ultimate goal being the complete takeover and assimilation of the SSDW system, processes, and resources. After successfully transitioning the SSDW, the Transition Project Manager will move into a Deputy Account Manager/Operations Lead role. If you are located in Indianapolis, Indiana, you will have the flexibility to work from home and the office in this hybrid role* as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for leading a team of Project Managers Utilizing organizational resources appropriately Ability to operate independently and with little direction Managing multiple technical projects across the enterprise data warehouse Management of key projects to ensure successful completion Anticipating issues and acting proactively to address potential issues Gathering and updating Deliverables, project materials, project documentation, business flows, and lessons learned documents Speaking to details of the project to both the business and technical teams from beginning to end of all projects Obtaining maximum value from Information Technology project management services Managing cross-functional interdependencies Improving processes to optimize performance and value over time Providing risk management and issue/problem resolution as required Defining work strategies, aligning these with resources and desired client outcomes, and overseeing planning and execution of the work Ensuring technology solutions are managed to support business strategies, often working with senior management Directing the integration of technical aspects of all related projects/programs Conducting analyses, needs assessments, and cost/benefit assessments and helping to broker other technology services Tracking and monitoring financials to ensure budget compliance You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of IT Project Management experience 5+ years of client facing experience 5+ years of working hands-on with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle Hybrid work environment – some face-to-face time with the customer is required Legally authorized to work in the US without any restrictions. Proof will be required Preferred Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification SAFe Certification 5+ years of experience in project management for a State Medicaid Agency or a large healthcare management organization Proficiency with MS Office (Including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access), MS Project, MS Visio At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
