Worldwide Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Project Manager to join one of our manufacturing clients in Panama City, FL for upcoming capital project support. This role will be a long term contract through WRS.
The Project Manager will play a critical role in leading and managing capital projects, ensuring safe and efficient execution while aligning with organizational goals. This role requires strong project management expertise and in-depth knowledge of chemical plant processes and layouts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage capital projects for the facility.
- Champion and enforce a strong safety culture throughout all phases of project execution.
- Collaborate with plant teams to implement standardized project execution processes.
- Partner with corporate procurement to optimize pricing, quality, and timelines for capital purchases and contract services. This includes preparing detailed scopes of work and contract documents.
- Oversee all phases of the capital project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain monthly forecasting to ensure capital expenditures align with execution plans.
- Collaborate with project teams to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Create and manage project schedules, adjusting as needed to meet deadlines.
Required Skills:
- Exceptional communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
- Strong collaborative abilities to work effectively with engineering, maintenance, and leadership teams.
- Initiative and capacity to rapidly gain familiarity with the site's chemical processes and physical layout.
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
- At least 5 years of experience safely executing fieldwork.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Lift up to 20 pounds.
- Frequently perform fine motor tasks (e.g., typing, writing).
- Climb stairs and ladders daily and work from heights.
- Walk up to two miles between work areas within the plant.
- Work in various outdoor conditions, including extreme weather.
Education, Certifications & Licenses:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field such as Construction Management, combined with a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success in leading capital projects.
Pay: Hourly | Paid Weekly
Overtime: Exempt
Monthly Per Diem for non-local Candidates
