Job Description:
Position: Project Manager This position reports to the Project Executive. In this role the Project Manager will plan, coordinate, direct and supervise personnel, subcontractors, and vendors ensuring that they complete the work on time, within budget and to the Company's quality specifications. Additionally, the Project Manager is responsible for maintaining an effective Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) program through adherence to the Company HSE Manual and implementation of all Company documentation. It is the responsibility of these individuals to ensure all sites under their supervision implement and maintain safe work practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to: Project Planning and Coordination: Estimating and Project Management Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation Quantity Take-offs Negotiating and writing subcontracts and purchase orders Monitor contract performance and ensure all terms and conditions are adhered to Project Scheduling Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and resolve issues Chairing Project Meetings and recording meeting minutes Maintain comprehensive project records, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports in appropriate software platform (currently Procore) Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, as well as on site field supervision Work on multiple projects simultaneously while under pressure Assisting and attending sales call meetings Generating business opportunities Representing Company by attending various business functions Reviewing subcontractor qualifications and safety submittals Safety Specific: Exhibiting Boyle's commitment to a safe workplace and worksite. Ensuring implementation of all Boyle Construction Inc. safety documentation. Notifying Director of Safety immediately in the event of an incident, accident, near-miss, if an OSHA/EPA/Country official arrives on-site or when a unique hazard arises. Supporting all incident, accident, and near-miss investigations and ensuring all required reports (to include corrective actions) are completed and distributed accordingly. Undertaking prompt corrective action(s) on any health, safety, and environmental recommendation(s). Maintaining applicable construction or general industry trainings or certifications as required for themselves and their team. Reviewing subcontractor qualifications and safety submittals. Notifying Boyle person in charge of any PPE infractions by Boyle personnel, subcontractors, or anyone else onsite. Ensuring all work scope hazards have been identified and controls developed through approved Job Hazards Analysis (JHA) and Pre-Task Planning (PTP) documents available on the during pre-construction. Conducting site HSE observations and reporting safe and unsafe findings under observation in the appropriate software (currently Procore or HammerTech). Consulting with Director of Safety during job-site observations and audits to review and evaluate any identified safety observations or recommendations. Qualifications and Other Skills and Abilities: Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry is required. Construction Management Degree preferred. Combination of both design and field experience is a plus. Knowledge of costs, schedule, and sequencing with design experience. Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft office suite of programs. Knowledge of Microsoft Project scheduling desirable. Very strong English oral & written communication skills are a must. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local building codes and safety laws. Knowledge of permitting, review, and inspection process. Ability to forecast scheduling challenges and present possible solutions. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Excellent problem/conflict resolution skills. Ability to prioritize projects, work against deadlines, and organize workflow with multiple interruptions. Procore project management software experience is advantageous. Must be reliable, punctual, possesses a strong work ethic, and maintain a professional appearance. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening. Essential Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to work in an environment which may include fumes, odors, chemicals, sawdust, and ash. Ability to work in an environment with noises in the range of 30-85 db. Ability to walk up and down steps, climb ladders, staging and scaffolding. Ability to sit or stand in a stationary position for approximately 50 percent of a workday. Ability to drive a motor vehicle. Ability to lift a minimum of thirty (30) pounds. Ability to bend, twist, reach, stretch and work in tight spaces.
