As a Project Manager, you will guide the development of products by ensuring all the resources are available to execute the development manager's strategy for our clients' next generation technologies. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine our schedules and ensure the team is effectively utilized across all our clients' projects and our internal initiatives.
The primary role of Project Manager is to closely work with Engineers, Designers, Researchers and Software Development teams to meticulously track, update, and manage schedules for multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have robust experience with Microsoft Project and a proven track record in a fast-paced development environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams through the stage gate process, ensuring alignment between early conceptualization, product development and product launch efforts.
- Architect project timelines, focusing on the definition and tracking of key project milestones and scope.
- Act as the leader of the project: setting expectations, holding members accountable, and always leading by example.
- Lead communications across the cross-functional project team and with stakeholders.
- Proactively assess, manage, and mitigate project risk.
- Facilitate resolution of cross-functional team issues.
- Continually challenge themselves to go the extra mile to get the job done, and ensure it's done the right way as opposed to the easy way.
- Hold themselves and others accountable.
- Embrace continual development through the sharing of feedback and investment in learning opportunities.
- Is a true collaborator, sharing resources, and engages in healthy debate.
- Conduct daily tracking of project progress and resource allocation, providing daily/weekly updates and reports to the team to ensure optimal resource utilization.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business or project management, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience leading cross-functional projects in a technical environment.
- Demonstrable general management skills such as leadership, negotiation, communication, ability to motivate, ability to influence and team building.
- Top-notch verbal and written communication skills, specifically around direct communication with the ability to influence others to achieve goals.
- Proven success keeping diverse stakeholders focused on common goals and able to hold senior staff accountable with grace.
- Success managing multiple projects at various stages simultaneously.
- Knowledge of and experience with a variety of project management tools and practices, including Microsoft Project.
- Demonstrates a strong team spirit, working to achieve team goals and maintaining high team morale.
