This is a great opportunity for a PE - Civil Engineer who is interested in leading a dynamic team on a wide range of projects creating land development design and plans for our commercial clients.   • Lead and manage project and project team activities.
  • Prepare thorough project proposals, scopes, budgets, and professional service agreements.
  • Create, implement, and monitor project schedules and allocate appropriate resources.
  • Manage project financials, invoicing, and assist with AR.
  • Assign and communicate budgets, schedules, and deadlines to project team.
  • Provide clear guidance and supervision to the project team; make critical decisions to keep the project on schedule and budget.
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with existing clients and serve as primary contact with clients.
  • Promote repeat and referral business and actively seek new business opportunities.
  • Take an active role in developing, coaching, and mentoring staff; delegate tasks/responsibilities as appropriate; provide on-the-job training to project team members.
What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited four-year or graduate engineering university in a relevant discipline.
  • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Possess a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of engineering planning, design and construction related to land development projects; the ability to plan and lead the preparation of contract documents for Land Development projects.
  • Ability to effectively manage project financials, schedules, and budgets.
  • Possesses advanced knowledge and understanding of the approval and permitting process for projects.
  • Intermediate to advanced skill with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong technical background, proficient in project design & coordination.
  • Ability to conceptualize the initial design approach for projects with the overall responsibility for the project design through completion.
  • Ability to create strong relationships with existing clients and internal staff members
  • Effectively delegates tasks (production and administrative) to allow for an increased focus on management tasks.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective client manager; leads projects with intent to generate a repeat and referral clients.
  • Efficient time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and with minimal supervision to meet all deadlines.
  • Strong delegation and communication skills to coordinate the work of the project team.
  • Communicates in a timely, clear, and effective manner with clients, various agencies, and other disciplines and managers.
  • Ability and desire to effectively lead, mentor, train, coach, and develop team members.
