Who We Are Looking For: Populous is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in managing projects within the live entertainment sector. This role is critical to driving our growth in the market, along with other sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of project management for Live Entertainment projects and a passion for navigating the dynamic landscape of venues that are central to the vitality, inspiration and excitement of communities.
What Your Day Could Consist Of: - Participate in selected marketing and business development opportunities.
- Prepare fee proposals including work plans to identify scope, staffing and schedule; Participate in the negotiation of contracts.
- Define staff requirements for projects as needed or directed.
- Manage project budget, work plans, consultants and schedule. Track fees and costs for conformance to contract.
- Participate in the preparation and execution of subcontracts for consultants.
- Build and sustain a cooperative and respectful work relationship with clients, ownership teams and representatives.
- Foster and maintain a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Leadership Team (i.e. Project Designer, Project Architect, and Principal in Charge).
- Provide leadership including professional development coaching and mentoring staff.
- Manage day-to-day activities of assigned projects.
- Foster on-going communication through team meetings, minutes, and up-date memos to project team including consultants.
- Ensure project documentation and are in compliance with Populous standards and policies.
- Contribute to design development, drawings, in support of overall project goals when requested and directed by the Principal-in-Charge.
- Create respectful associations with contractors upholding the design teams interests.
- All other duties and responsibilities as required.

- Thorough knowledge of design, construction methodology and material application.
- Strong understanding of project work plans, schedules, staffing, and budgets with an interest in financial management required.
- Ability to manage multiple small to medium size projects of a complex scope.
- Great communication skills both oral and written.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel, required.
- Proficiency in Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint preferred.
Essential Qualifications: - Minimum of a bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management or Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in an architectural, engineering or construction practice with 5 years prior project management experience in all phases of projects.
- Project Management experience with live entertainment, sport facilities, convention centers, hospitality, and aviation a strong plus.
- Licensed Architect, Interior Designer, Engineer or LEED accreditation preferred.
- NCARB registration preferred.
- PMP certification or similar coursework preferred.
Additional Details: - Travel will be required.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
Compensation: - The projected salary range for this opportunity is $90,004 - $112,505 annually, and may be more or less depending on skills, experience and education.
