NYS Office of General Services (OGS) is seeking a Project Manager Mid-LevelDay to Day task include:
- Create & maintain project schedule, stakeholder register and roles & responsibilities matrix
- Create & maintain project management plans and peripheral plans which includes but is not limited scope management plan, communication plan and change management plan.
- Create and maintain risk log, issue log, action item log and decision log
- Schedule and facilitate status meetings
- Draft meeting notes and disperse to project team members
- Work with the business unit, a third-party vendor and Information Technology Services (ITS) to facilitate design sessions and ensure that design requirements are documented and approved by the business unit.
- Work with ITS to facilitate ITS related deliverables such as environment setup, single-sign, APIs, user authentication
- Work with business unit, a third-party vendor and ITS to coordinate system walk-throughs and document feedback from the sessions
- Create and manage the requirements traceability matrix
- Work with business unit to facilitate and prepare test scenarios & test cases
- Facilitate the testing and defect resolution sessions
- Communicate issues to the business unit, a third-party vendor, and ITS and project leadership to facilitate remediation
- Work with a third-party vendor and/or ITS to deploy the system to production.
Requested Qualifications:
- 60 Months of experience performing project management activities such as: creating and maintaining a project schedule, creating and maintaining stakeholder registers and roles & responsibilities matrix; developing project management plans and peripheral plans (communication, scope management, change management) and tracking risks, issues, decisions and action items.
- 60 Months of experience performing project management activities such as: leading and facilitating status meetings, drafting meeting notes; disseminating meeting notes out to project team members and performing follow-up to ensure that the action items have been completed.
- 60 Months of experience working with technical staff from the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) to facilitate environment setup, single-sign on setup, APIs, user authentication and other technical aspects of the project.
- 60 Months of experience working with the business unit, a third-party vendor and technical staff from the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) to facilitate design sessions and ensure that system requirements are documented and approved by the business unit.
- 60 Months of experience managing a software implementation vendor to ensure that project deliverables are completed and the project is moving forward as scheduled.
- 36 Months of experience using project management software such as Smartsheet, MS Visio and MS Project.
- 36 Months of experience working with the business unit, a third-party vendor and technical staff from the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) to coordinate system walk-throughs and document feedback from the sessions. This includes working with a third-party vendor and technical staff from the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) to ensure that specified requirements have been built, tested and accepted.
- 36 Months of experience facilitating the testing phase by creating and managing the requirements traceability matrix; scheduling and facilitating testing status meetings; assisting with the preparation of test scenarios & test cases; scheduling and facilitating defect resolution sessions.
Work hours and location:
- Full time role with engagement length of 18 months
- Daily work hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Physical office location: Building 18 at the Harriman State Campus, Albany, NY
- Telecommuting options: 50% or less
