  • Support the continuous improvement of existing programs in the multifamily sector;
  • Manage projects from initiation to completion; including scope, schedule and budgets;
  • Resolve issues which may arise regarding assigned projects with applicants or consultants;
  • Case management of multifamily building projects including, but not limited to:
  • Assist with processing of project applications
  • Organize and conduct telephone scoping sessions where project requirements and roles are covered
  • Review project submittals for projects
  • Input and manage program databases (Including CRIS)
  • Complete quarterly program Reporting
  • Assist with program evaluation efforts
  • Work with other staff augmentation personnel to ensure that projects are completed successfully and in compliance with program rules and policies;
  • Coordinate with our QA/QC and technical review contractors; and
  • Perform other responsibilities that contribute to key outcomes of the Multifamily team
Required skills include:
  • Bachelor's degree, particularly in engineering, policy, public or business administration, architecture, real estate, urban planning, marketing or related field
  • 3-6 years of experience of relevant project management experience
  • Project management skills and the ability to successfully multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to set priorities, collect and document project requirements, successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Outstanding external and customer communications (written and verbal) skills;
  • Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate with multiple stakeholders;
  • Ability to review and evaluate submittals for the large-scale projects;
  • Ability schedule and conduct meetings involving multiple participants from different companies. Meetings may be conference call, video, webinar, or on site;
  • Ability to work and coordinate with NYSERDA staff, Multifamily solution providers, building owners, and various other multifamily entities such as regulatory and certification entities;
  • Ability to effectively participate in program review, revision, design, and development of the Multifamily Performance Program and Low Carbon Pathways; and
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office software to effectively update program documents.
  • Solid project management skills for energy efficiency projects involving multiple building systems;
  • Knowledge of energy consuming systems commonly found in multifamily buildings, including but not limited to heating, ventilation and air-conditioning technologies, lighting and building envelope;
  • Knowledge of energy conservation measures in comprehensive energy efficiency projects for existing multifamily buildings. Understanding of interactions between different energy conservation measures;
  • Knowledge of NYSERDA's Multifamily Performance Program (MPP) & Low Carbon Pathways (LCP) a plus;
  • Knowledge of Oracle Peoplesoft and QACSS a plus
  • Must be an experienced Microsoft Excel user, familiar with formulas, and data analysis.
Compensation:This is a full-time position as a Salas O'Brien employee working remotely. Benefits include a health insurance plan, a 401K profit sharing plan, and PTO.
