Job Description:

Summary:

Putzmeister sells solids handling equipment (PIT) for simple and complex projects in Mining, Waste Water Treatment, and general Industrial markets. The Project Manager PIT / SAB enables Putzmeister to execute these projects successfully on time and in budget. Coordination between the customer and the manufacturing plant in Germany, including engineering, is key.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for pump and system orders from receipt of order to customer acceptance and technical coordination thereof.

Define project Milestones for pump and system orders, based on the Customer Specification and Order Specification from Salesforce.

Claims Management (Change Orders and Defending Claims).

Draft production Schedules, Milestone Plans, and Project Gannt Charts coordinate schedules with contractual key points and the headquarters.

Estimate and evaluate project risks and propose appropriate minimization measures.

Controlling Project Budgets and proposing improvements.

Supporting the Quality Documentation Process for Complex Orders.

Supporting creating and updating the P&IDs, control philosophies, Instrument Lists, and EMSR Documentation.

Communication with business partners.

Supporting the Pre-Sales Excellence Team (located in Germany) during bids.

Role can evolve into technical sales support, consulting customers on machine implementation in projects and plant applications (Precast, Highrise, Mining, Wastewater Treatment Plants.)

Qualifications:

Experience in structuring contracts as well as order execution of industrial projects

Automation of Industrial plants and design of P&IDs, control philosophies, and related Lists for the EMSR Engineering

First Experience in preparation of Quality Documentation with QIPs and related material certificates

Further training as a building materials tester would be desirable

Self-motivated individual with a problem-solving mentality

Very strong communication skills with internals and externals

Travel according to project needs

Education/Certification/Training:

Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering or similar

Project Management Certification is a plus

Mandatory safety training (see Total Compliance Management program).

Physical Demands:

Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, peripheral, and the ability to focus.

Work environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a typical office environment, occasionally exposed to noise, dust, and chemicals.

Safety glasses/goggles must be worn at all times while in designated shop areas.
