This position can be located anywhere in the PST Time Zone of the US. The position must be able to work PST hours.The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for driving a variety of projects for Russelectric, a Siemens Business for our ATS and Switchgear equipment. As a project manager you will be responsible for understanding contracted scope of work, allocated budget, and project turning points; defining and allocating required resources prior to equipment delivery and working with the Area Service Managers all the way through to service execution. This role is essential to making sure we understand the risk, develop mitigations, and our projects come in on time and within budget.You will make an impact by:Understand the client's current needs and anticipate future requirements.Review construction scope, schedules, and project documents for accuracy and requirements.Responsible daily/weekly progress reporting, and all manner of communications with contractors, subcontractors, and clients.Leading customer kickoff meetings (remote or at customer site as required)Attend weekly meetings, provide high-level status updates, and lead programming, Engineering, and Project Management activities.As the need arises, review materials at factory pre-shipment or pre-inspection of bill of material delivered at customer site to ensure smooth project execution.Facilitate resolution of warranty claims as they arise on the project.Communicate to finance partners estimate-at-complete project cost and scheduled completion on a monthly basis for all assigned projectsLeading periodic operational review meetings with the customer to maintain schedule and project organization/key contactsDeliver projects consistently at or below budgetProvide lessons learned feedback to Quotations team on selective complicated projectsOptimally communicate project expectations to team members in a timely and clear fashion.Coordinate the resolution of sophisticated issues and questions with respectively qualified Project Engineers.Support Finance team on invoicing and coordination of invoicingDevelop risk mitigation plans to preempt potential problems through the application of concepts, techniques, knowledge, processes and lessons learned.You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in engineering or related technical field.3+ years of direct project management experience.Very strong project management skillsMust be willing and able to travel up to 20%Good verbal and written communication skills in English requiredAbility to identify contractual risks and work to mitigate exposurePreferred Qualifications:Experience working with Power Control Systems and Automatic Transfer SwitchesExperience with SAP is preferredYou'll benefit from:Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees.
