Job Description:

ETC is looking for a Rigging Rockstar to join the Professional Services group as a new Project Manager in Middleton, WI! If you love ETC rigging products and want to be more involved on the front end of things, this is a perfect opportunity! A Project Manager will be responsible with the implementation of custom projects, updating project schedules, and working with other departments on getting the project rolled out.

Our ideal candidate will have an Bachelors Degree or comparable job experience, some background knowledge on rigging systems and their functions, strong communication and organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.

Representative Responsibilities:

Implements the design of a custom project layout

Addresses requests for information from dealers, consultants, engineers, electricians, representatives and end users in a timely and professional manner

Reviews quotations, sales order and purchase orders and addresses any discrepancies in a timely fashion

Confirms system requirements

Ensures drawings are consistent and accurate

Submits drawings to customers by or on due date

Reviews submittal drawings/check printing

Manages the projects progress to ensure the scheduled ship date is met

Provides accurate project status to customers as soon as changes occur

Submits shop drawings to Systems Engineering for review

Releases project to manufacturing

Updates project schedules to ensure they are accurate and current

Communicates custom aspects with custom expediter

Meets promised ship dates and specifications

Ensures quality customer support for each project

Communicates projects schedule and ensures it is agreed-upon by external personnel (rep/dealer/consultant/customer/contractor)

Ensures product shipped meets customers expectations

Ensures product meets customer requirements

Reviews shipping paperwork for accuracy

Supports system energization

Ensures all equipment is on site and missing equipment is expedited if necessary

Provides support to on-site technicians

Assists other Project Managers when needed

Acts as a resource for other departments

Assists in the training of department personnel

Other duties as assigned

Completes special projects and requests in a timely and positive fashion

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree, or 8 years of comparable business experience in increasingly responsible positions

1-3 years of appropriate theatre industry experience or architectural experience

All levels of previous job-related experience will be considered

Practicable experience in technical theatre, architectural and/or construction

Knowledge of electronics and/or electrical theories or practices

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Strong motivation and leadership skills

Microsoft Office/PC skills

Able to work well under pressure and defuse volatile situations

AutoCad/DraftSight, Bluebeam and/or Adobe Acrobat experience preferred

Communication

Ability to communicate effectively through various mediums, phone, Teams, email, etc.

Responsiveness to customers' needs

Time Management

Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

Critical Thinking

Ability to evaluate a customer situation and think through best path forward

Situational Awareness to recognize different customer types and needs

Project Scope and Load

Ability to handle medium to large projects, that include complete systems, energizations, etc.

Ability to handle projects over various customer types and system types

Product Knowledge

Basic knowledge of how systems go together and what is needed to create a working system.

Understanding of processes for the design and manufacture of custom product
