Responsibilities
• Manage the company's engineering work.
• Lead and develop the company's engineering business development and client relations with existing customers.
• Will provide clients with engineering solutions for construction and maintenance/reliability issues.
• Establish operational plans and staffing levels to develop offices capable of performing multiple large-scale projects and maintenance work.
• Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency
• Review performance data (financial, budgets, sales, and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress, and activity levels
• Oversee the writing of scope, budget, QA/QC, continual improvement, and research and development
• Understand and meet or exceed the requirements of the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract, customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs), professional service agreements, or other contractual requirements.
• Monitor and develop professional staff to maximize their potential
• Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships
• Serves as Company representative at all levels of operations
• Other duties as assigned
• Monitor quality and process control, and suggest improvements as needed.
Qualifications
• 7 + years' experience in structural engineering, structures, bridges, industrial buildings, large-scale equipment, and maintenance with extensive knowledge of Concrete and Steel structures.
• Professional Engineer registration required in Illinois or Indiana. Structural Engineer registration is preferred.

• Experience managing and mentoring teams of engineers
• Excellent Project Management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Functional in utilizing spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and computer operations.
• Experience in the industrial, commercial, or residential engineering industry is a plus Experience preferred in: construction, heavy industrial, manufacturing, or steel processing environments.
• Proficient in 3D analysis, CAD, and Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel. Experience in FEI software preferred.
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year program. Master's Degree preferred
