Overview

Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Project Manager to expand our Transportation Planning/Traffic practice in White Plains, New York (NY)!

Responsibilities

* Our Project Managers/Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualifiedstaff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor

* Has an entrepreneurial spirit, creating a vision for growth in their personal practice while contributing to the growth of our transportation engineering practice in the local area and beyond

* Assists in marketing and business development efforts with our existing local municipal, state, and private clients, while delivering a wide variety of traffic engineering projects with our growing team of transportation professionals

* Leadership responsibilities include:

* Operating with integrity and sound business principals

* Providing vision, business planning and strategy

* Establishing goals

* Building and maintaining positive client relationships

* Having open communication with your partners and team

* Growing and leading a Transportation/Traffic practice

* The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business

* Beyond serving our existing clients, this person has the ability to pursue own passions, leads, and clients

* With success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of an impressive bonus program with the potential to advance to ownership

Qualifications

* 10+ years of traffic engineering and design experience

* Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license

* Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in New York and the surrounding areas

* Some established relationships with local DOT, local agencies, local municipalities, and/or private developers

* Demonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably through agency specifications

* Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills

* Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems

* Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization

* Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner

* Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably

Salary range: $150,000 - 200,000
