You always have our customers in mind, identify their expectations and bring them into line with Siemens Energy portfolio.Through your work, you maintain and strengthen customer relationships to a high level and ensure a proper handover of business relationships to our warranty and service organisations.How You'll Make an Impact* In your new role, you will be responsible for the project management of the onshore portion of complex execution projects in the erection and commissioning phases of the Gas Services, Central, Global Customer Operations, Project Management (SE GS C GCO PM).* You will be responsible for meeting all project targets (profit, revenue, customer satisfaction, quality and EHS).* You are the main contact person for the customer, the colleagues (f/m/d) of the national company and the internal specialist departments.* You will own the financial performance of the Project, support, and work closely with the Commercial Project Managers to develop and agree further opportunities with our customers.* You actively promote the feedback of experience and identify potential for improvement to continuously develop our project business. Promotes Siemens Energy Zero Harm Culture, being a strong advocate and leads by example to deliver a robust project safety culture. Drives continuous improvement and a positive EHS culture on construction sites.* Defines key project collaborators and develops plan for management of the same, considering their levels of influence and particular interests. Develops working relationships and maintains constant communication with customers representatives. Determines the best means of satisfying requirements within the context of project objectives and constraints.* Manages the scope, specification, time, cost, quality, risks and resource aspects of the project.* Prepares and maintains the Project Management Plan and details the fundamental components of projects (scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities and issues, and quality requirements)* Reports on project status, including progress, key milestones, highlights, lowlights, EHS events, commercial standing, project impacts, etc. on a regular basis.* Close collaboration and regular communication with Global Project Manager from the Business Unit Partners under the NCM requirements and to confirm scope of supply, resource requirements, etc.* The Project Manager owns the financial performance of the Project, supports, and works closely with the Commercial Project Managers in developing and agreeing budgets for projects and controlling forecast and actual costs. Monitors achievements and alignment to budgets, and initiates actions to minimise and control non-conformance costs.* Supports, establishes, and implements where vital, protocols for change and claim management towards customers and sub-contractors. Involved in negotiation and settlement of claims protecting the project's best interests.* Supports the development and agreement of external contracts for the provision of goods and/or services, supervising compliance and managing variances.* Closely working with the rest of the team identifying and supervising project risks (threats and opportunities), planning and implementing responses to them and responding to other issues that affect projects.What You Bring* Educated to HNC or HND level or equivalent, ideally with an engineering or commercial background.* Demonstrated ability in the plant and project business particularly in engineering, commercial, procurement, manufacturing, site erection or commissioning activities, having performed a variety of duties.* Several years Project Management experience, or equivalent role related to power plant construction.* Must have UK installation / construction experience and have knowledge of CDM Regulations (PM role will primarily be site based covering our portfolio of new power plant projects across the UK&I).* Commercially aware and follows a strong process to bring together and defend claims to and from customers and subcontractors.* This person should have experience in the installation and operation of high-speed rotating equipment for use in the power generation markets.* Is familiar our internal processes and understands NCM structures and principles. Good knowledge of the business processes and workflows in the project business, particularly in relation to order processing.* This role will come with autonomy for the person to make decisions and be responsible for ensuring that the erection and commissioning phases of projects runs on time and to budget meeting customer expectations.* Basic commercial knowledge and confidence in using standard software (SAP, MS Office)* Good comprehension and ability to recognise correlations, as well as very good empathy and interpersonal skills.* Willingness to travel* Experience in leading and managing interdisciplinary teams without disciplinary responsibility, motivation of your team.* Ideally is an existing PM@Siemens certified Project Manager or is working towards IPMA Certification.[1] Find out how you can make a difference at Siemens Energy: [2] the TeamWho is Siemens Energy?At Siemens Energy, we are more than just an energy technology company.
