JOB DESCRIPTION: The Project and Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for obtaining machinery quotations, implementing productivity-enhancing projects, troubleshooting production issues, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities also include overseeing projects, collaborating on program deliverables, and ensuring compliance with standards. The individual also coaches and trains team members and develops SOPs, SWIs, and PFMEA for new production lines. MUST-HAVES :
- Familiarity with design standards In US (i.e., NEC, NFPA 70, etc.) and solid understanding of safety systems design.
- Experience working with and troubleshooting robotics / controls systems, Control Logix PLCs and plant application controls and automation.
- Demonstrated technical project management experience.
- Familiarity with Variable Frequency Drives and HMIs.
- Worked in a Highly Automated Manufacturing Environment
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD software.
- Able to effectively work with external machine builders and system integrators for detail design, build and integration of later stages of machine system implementation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- University or College degree/diploma in Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Controls Technology or equivalent experience as a maintenance technician.
- 1-3 years of experience in automation in a manufacturing setting.
