Management and Construction Solutions Inc, an industry leader in the management of construction upgrades and installations of large industrial projects, is looking for an experienced Project Mechanical Coordinator. This is a full-time year-round position with a 7-month assignment in Skowhegan, ME. Permanent relocation is not required but onsite work is required for 20-25 days per month. A per diem allowance for housing and food as well as compensated travel between site and home are provided. Duties include: A daily presence in the field to supervise/oversee Mechanical Contractors to keep their work on-schedule and under budget while maintaining safe working conditions, including identifying/removing roadblocks to contractors' progress toward production targets Other duties may include:
- Work with the Project Mechanical Coordinator Lead to create/review/approve Request for Quotations for labor/material/equipment necessary to complete the scope
- Work with the Project Mechanical Coordinator Lead to order material/equipment to complete scope, including verifying quantities through takeoffs and approving contractor requisitions.
- Work with the Project Mechanical Coordinator Lead to create/maintain/update Mechanical schedule
- Work with the Project Mechanical Coordinator Lead to review/monitor the Mechanical contractors' schedules/productivity/budgets with an emphasis on QA/QC
- Work with the Project Mechanical Coordinator Lead to perform construction commissioning activities, including the creation of the CCO packages
- Work with the Project Mechanical Coordinator Lead to lead all safety aspects of the construction site
Requirements Qualifications - 10+ years' experience in the Electrical/ Instrumentation industrial construction field - Ability to manage manpower and budgets for large projects - Ability to think critically and independently to make sound decisions - Attention to detail is critical for success Compensation - Hourly, depending on experience. This is a non-exempt position, so overtime hours are paid at 1.5x base rate. Anticipated workload of 50 hours per week for 2023. - Per diem allowance for housing and food provided - Compensable travel time between site and home, every third week - Travel expense reimbursement - Benefits include PTO and 401k plan
