PAR is a service company, as such we are looking for a Safety Coordinator with the heart and actions of a servant leader that is honest, self-directed, self-motivated, and committed to a journey of learning and growing. We are looking for leaders that are transformational not transactional. Someone that will take ownership of the space and team members they are responsible for. The project location will be in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

What You'll Do:

Safety Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be an advisor of the health and safety program for a divisional team.
  • Ensure compliance and understanding of all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Will need to learn and advise on all local union, customer, and project requirements.
  • Coaches, demonstrates, and assists in Corporate Operations Safety Management System activities.
  • Reinforces safety standards, safe work procedures, specific safety rules, and regulations
  • Complete periodic job site visits by documenting observations and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct, assist, advise, and review events. Ensure accuracy, completeness, actions, and effectiveness laid out in the report and corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a compliance plan for project specific documents and any programs required by OSHA and the Corporate Operations and Safety Departments.
  • Maintain documentation of the company's safety procedures, accidents and related events.
  • Participate in the utility customers meetings and conference calls.
  • Facilitate required safety training in support of project needs.
  • Promote business activities and operations that minimize impacts to sensitive environmental resources.
  • Assist and advise on tooling, equipment, and Department of Transportation (DOT) safety needs.
What You'll Bring:

Safety Coordinator Requirements and Qualifications

  • (Preferred) Previous experience in Electrical Transmission and Distribution Construction or Substation Construction
  • (Preferred) Previous experience in comprehensive workplace safety and compliance programs
  • (Preferred) Solid knowledge of state and local statutes and ordinances on utility safety and DOT regulations and up to date on latest local and state guideline changes
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel)
  • Possess or can obtain training certifications related to the utility industry
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines
  • Interpersonal skills, establishing professional relationships with employees and project managers
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and walk through the workday
  • Subject to both environmental conditions, as activities occur inside and outside
  • Ability to travel with possibilities of extended overnight stays
  • Ability to have a flexible schedule to meet project or divisional needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-directed, organized and self-motivated to accomplish goals
