Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to manage high-volume, fast-paced new business projects in the electric Transmission and Distribution (T&D) sector. This role focuses on scheduling and coordinating residential, commercial, and subdivision projects, with the majority being completed in one day. The ideal candidate will have utility construction experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Scheduling: Develop and manage project schedules for new business T&D projects, including residential, commercial, and subdivision connections.
- Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, field crews, and utility teams to ensure smooth coordination of resources and timely project execution.
- Quick Turnaround: Ensure efficient scheduling of high-volume, short-duration projects, with the majority being completed within a single day.
- Tracking & Reporting: Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and adjust schedules as needed to meet project timelines and customer expectations.
- Utility Construction: Leverage experience in utility construction to anticipate challenges, optimize scheduling, and minimize project disruptions.
- Communication: Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project timelines, milestones, and any scheduling conflicts or adjustments.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project schedules, timelines, and completed work to ensure alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience in utility construction and project scheduling in the electric T&D sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with scheduling tools and software, as well as utility construction processes, including residential and commercial connections.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple projects with quick turnarounds, ensuring that timelines are met consistently.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential scheduling conflicts and develop solutions to keep projects on track.
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, field crews, and customers.
- Utility Experience: Prior experience with utility companies or contractors working on new business projects is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate records, schedules, and documentation for regulatory compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with scheduling software like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Previous work on high-volume, quick-turnaround utility projects.
