Job Description:

Project Senior Scheduler

Education:

Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field is preferred

Certifications: PMI or AACEi Certification preferred

Skills and Experience:

* Experience in construction business and ability to approve/accept schedules produced by EPC contractors

* At least 10 years of Primavera P6 experience

* Competent with MS Office

* Good communication skills and get it done attitude is a must

* This position requires a detail-oriented self-starter with demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making, the ability to plan and organize work, and excellent oral and written communication skills

* Experience working directly with Project and/or Program Managers to support in the execution of all project controls processes and systems on large-scale delivery projects

* Experience creating work breakdown structure for the building of resource loaded schedules in Primavera P6 v8.1 or higher

* Experience evaluating CPM resource loaded schedules provided by EPC and third party contractors

* Experience providing logging and reporting key details in a report to management

* Experience assessing gaps and key requirements for meeting construction schedules

* Experiencer developing and maintaining integrated master schedules for multiple multi-million-dollar construction projects

* Experience working with project teams to develop, integrate, and maintain project schedules that may include subcontractor schedules

Responsibilities

* Intermediate level with use of Primavera P6 V 15.0 or above

* Prepare and maintain Company overall project schedule

* Review Contractor Schedules and recommend necessary changes

* Assist Construction Manager / Superintendent in detail scheduling of construction items outside of General Contractor packages

* Prepare schedule updates for weekly and monthly reports

* Prepare (or assist in preparation of) detailed construction schedules for large-scale projects

* Assemble data from variety of sources (i.e. construction project management team, architects and engineers, clients, sub-contractors)

* Perform tasks required to develop and maintain project schedules, including but not limited to collecting as-built information, assessing progress data supplied by others and visual inspection

* Prepare (or assist in preparation of) schedule updates and project look ahead reports

* Interface with other construction departments to provide scheduling data for items such as trade/subcontract change requests, bid comparisons, new work item estimates, and resolution of potential schedule/work problems

* Develop, monitor, and update integrated project plans and schedules so that projects can be executed in the most efficient manner possible

* Prepare baseline schedules and schedule basis documents for approval by project teams

* Assess impacts to the critical path and near-critical activities and report to the project team

* Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in the developing alternate methods for corrective action

* Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts and schedule analysis on a periodic basis

* Assure credibility of the information contained in the schedule

* Review schedules with project team members on a regular basis to ensure that accurate and timely data is incorporated in the schedule

* Analyze schedules from A/E firms, Vendors, subcontractors and General Contractors

* Verify schedule integrity and evaluate logic and float paths

* Evaluate activity sequences for constructability

* Analyze change orders for schedule impacts

* Perform jobsite walks to verify physical progress of scheduled activities

* Facilitate project scheduling meetings and/or interactive planning meetings as required by the project team

* Participate in project meetings at the discretion of the project manager

* Assisting Project Managers with resource allocations and constraints, schedule and critical-path analysis, earned value reporting
