Job Title: Project Scheduler (81118)Job Location: Cambridge MA 02138Onsite Requirements:Primavera 6Construction or Transportation industry experienceAbility to create a schedule with a critical path and multiple near-critical pathsJob Description:Develop and maintain project schedules in Primavera P6, ensuring the identification and management of critical and near-critical paths.Prepare fragnets and handle re-baselining of schedules as needed.Attended engineering and project management meetings to identify changes in scope or customer delays and determine schedule impact.Collaborate with the customer and internal teams to defend change orders and schedule delays during negotiations.Meet weekly schedule update deadlines.Work remotely, with required travel to Boston for monthly meetings.Coordinate with GCs and Subcontractors on project schedules.Required Qualifications:5-10 years of experience in scheduling for construction and/or transit projects of similar contract value and complexity.At least two projects with 3-5 years duration and over 2,000 activities.At least 5 years of experience using Primavera P6 for scheduling.Proven experience creating schedules with critical and near-critical paths.Strong ability to detect scope changes or customer delays during project meetings and assess their impact on the schedule.Experience in re-baselining schedules and preparing fragnets for project changes.Ability to interact effectively with customers and defend schedule delays and change orders in negotiations.Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.Additional Information:The candidate will receive coaching and support from the lead Scheduler for 2-4 months before taking the lead on a large Boston project.The role requires strong self-discipline, as the company culture is laid-back but requires high levels of independence.The hiring process includes a phone screen followed by a video interview.Preferred Skills:Experience working in the construction industry.Knowledge of Government projects, specifically within the MBTA project in Boston.** 3rd party and subcontract staffing agencies are not eligible for partnership on this position. 3rd party subcontractors need not apply.This position requires candidates to be eligible to work in the United States, directly for an employer, without sponsorship now or anytime in the future.This client is a US Federal Government contractor and is legally required to hire US Citizens.
