The Energetic Materials Group of UDRI, located at Eglin AFB Florida, is seeking a Project Scheduler to maintain site wide test schedules, determine resource needs and identify conflicts across various projects within AFRL. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside a team of talented researchers, engineers, technicians and subject matter experts, contributing to projects, making a real difference through advanced science and technology development. The primary purpose of this position is to conduct branch-wide site project scheduling at the AFRL Munitions Directorate at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. UDRI is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented project scheduler to interface across various research groups, maintain site wide test schedules, determine resource needs and identify conflicts. Will be required to monitor progress on test and operational work, data entry and management, and interface with project leads on a daily basis. Responsibilities: Provide advanced level scheduling support for the High Explosive Research and Development branch at AFRL. Maintain, status, and control project schedules using project software to include documenting changes and revisions to the project schedule, gathering status information and inputting the data into the project schedule and publishing events onto test calendars. Consolidates test plan approval documents and research directives, tracks test execution of all hazardous operations, compiles test results and files data in workplace repositories. Identify best practices and process improvements. Identify project milestones and activities necessary to achieve project objectives. Identify and document schedule and programmatic interdependencies among project activities and related external projects. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. A minimum of three years of directly related experience. Strong understanding of scheduling techniques and best practices. Intermediate knowledge and usage of MS Office Tool Suite. Proficient to advanced in MS Project or relevant project management software. Individual must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong critical thinking skills and be a motivated self-starter. Ability to work as a team player within a diverse and multidisciplinary team, including scientists, engineers, industry, military personnel, and academia. Individual must meet government and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to AFRL. Ability to obtain DOD Secret Clearance required. Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen. Preferred Qualifications: While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following: Bachelor's Degree and related experience in science or engineering field.
