Job Description:

EOS Risk Group are seeking an experienced, high quality individual, with the right to work in the USA, to fulfil the role of Project Security Manager for a groundbreaking, multi-site, green energy giga-project located in Louisiana.

The role will involve working with Senior Project Management and Corporate Security to design, develop, implement and manage the security arrangements for this multi-site EPC project.

Initial focus will be on the ramping up stage of the project, preparing logistics and site security plans, as well as liaising with multiple agencies and interested parties such as physical security providers and community representatives.

Throughout 2025 the on-site team will grow from sub-100 involved in initial ground clearance works, to over 3,500 employees and contractors working on site in a complex multi-agency administered environment, with both land and marine based interfaces, including MTSA compliant terminal and a large inland pipeline system.

We are particularly keen to hear from individuals with a demonstrable history of in simialr positions on large petro-chemical projects and facilities with land and marine interfaces, located in the US Gulf States.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive security risk assessments and developing site-specific security protocols and policies including design of site security.
  • Following corporate construction security protocols, developing, implementing, and overseeing the security governance systems to ensure effective and efficient security operations across all sites (including emergency response plans, travel security plans, crisis management plans etc.)
  • Managing the overall security posture of the sites, including physical security, personnel security, and emergency response strategies.
  • Collaborating with local authorities and relevant agencies to enhance security measures and ensure compliance with local regulations and corporate standards – attending public hearings where required
  • Working with internal departments and external agencies to promote strong community relations with regards to the project
  • Conducting regular review and updating of security practices and systems to adapt to changing security landscapes or operational needs.
  • Reporting to senior management on security status, incidents, and ongoing risk management strategies.
  • Ensure all security operations are conducted within the allocated budget, optimizing resources without compromising safety, through the duration of the project from build out to operational
  • Assisting with the implementation of an already designed MTSA maritime security compliance system
  • Ensuring the success of the project through securely managed logistics

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Security Manager or similar leadership role in security management, preferably in a high-risk or international environment.
  • Minimum first degree in a relevant discipline, Masters in a relevant discipline preferable
  • Membership(s) of industry associations (e.g. ASIS) to demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development
  • Strong understanding of security protocols, crisis management, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams and interact with stakeholders.
  • Ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong IT skills, fully conversant with Microsoft Office Suite of applications
  • An understanding of MTSA, TWIK and related requirements would be advantageous but not essential
