Job Description:
Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) invites applications for a Project Specialist to join our Medical Office Administration department. This position is a full-time opportunity with a hybrid work model that requires travel to the Kaiser Permanente Medical Centers a minimum of two times per week.Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group is comprised of more than 1,700 Permanente physicians and nearly 300 staff professionals who come together to make a positive impact on the health and lives of more than 800,000 members in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Reporting to a Executive Consultant III, the Project Specialist will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight for projects regarding medical documentation for the DCSM service area. You will directly support strategic initiatives that promote MAPMG's data integrity and quality of patient care. You can expect to:
  • Support and research process improvement projects regarding data gathering and analysis
  • Develop advanced PowerPoint presentations that contain data visualizations and recommendations based on findings
  • Train new physicians in person on program requirements and serve as liaison to resolve questions
  • Coordinate project timelines and milestones, to track deliverables
  • Partner and maintain strong relationships with Assistant Physician-in-Chief and Quality Champions to execute project initiatives
  • Deliver process improvement project updates to internal stakeholders; continue to provide check-ins throughout project timelines
What is required:
  • Bachelor's degree in health-related field is required; Master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience managing complex projects required
  • Must be able to commute to various Kaiser Permanente Medical Centers a minimum of two times per week
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office required
  • Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of strong leadership qualities
  • Candidates must either currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Washington D.C. metropolitan area
  • Must provide documentation of the Covid vaccine 2-dose series (or J&J 1-dose) prior to October 1, 2023, or documentation for 1-dose of the most current Covid vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) as a condition of employment. Must provide documentation for the influenza vaccine as a condition of employment.

The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $62,712 to $78,390 depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, training, market data, and other relevant factors.
