St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a Project Specialist-Asset Management for the St Johns County Facilities Management Department whose headquarters are located in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida.St. Johns County residents enjoy a healthy quality of life with many perks including one of the top-rated public school system in the State of Florida, miles of beach shoreline, peaceful estuary scenery of the St. Johns River, long-established agriculture and equestrian scene, and the nation's oldest city, historic St. Augustine. In 2019 St. Johns County was ranked the 10th fastest-growing county in the United States showcasing that there is truly something for everyone in St. Johns County!The Facilities Maintenance Division of the Facilities Management Department provides the full spectrum of facility maintenance and repair services for approximately 2 million square feet of County facilities. These properties range from recreational facilities and entertainment venues to public safety, general administrative offices, and criminal justice facilities. The program's goal is to ensure that County buildings and facilities reliably and efficiently perform the functions for which they were designed and constructed throughout their service life. In addition, the division performs in-house minor construction and renovation services.Employees work in a team-oriented environment with various departments with two common goals in mind: to provide the best services to our citizens and the best-maintained infrastructure in North Florida.The newly selected Project Specialist-Asset Management be responsible for providing specialized technical support for County Facilities Management projects and ongoing oversight and supervision for asset management and inventory control activities with the Facilities Management Department. Facilities Management includes three divisions: Facilities Maintenance, Building Operations, and Sheriff's Complex Maintenance.The ideal Project Specialist-Asset Management candidate must possess St. Johns County's core values of compassion, innovation, and trustworthiness and must work well in a collaborative team environment. Some of the specific tasks include but are not limited to:* Supports the Facilities Management Department's computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) system, inventory control management system, and energy management system.* Supports the execution of project plans from start to completion. Reviews all support contracts, service level agreements, and vendor contracts for proper budget, and execution. Reviews project plans for proper resource allocation and scheduling. Verifies and reports on project deliverables, outcome measures, and other targeted metrics.* Collaborates with department supervisory staff for the review key of performance indicators and work plans; the validation of goals, objectives, and project outcomes; the review and modification of work schedules; and other related service evaluations.* Collaborates with other County employees to develop, maintain, and implement the County's Enterprise Asset Management protocols to interface with maintenance, labor, purchasing, and inventory functions for the County.* Coordinates administrative and support services for the department's projects and initiatives. Prepares reports and analyses. These may include financial statements, revenue and expenditure models, strategic planning, or other special projects, as assigned.* Develops recommendations for department budgets. Prepares related reports.* Utilizes computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) to schedule and track assigned project activities and monitor performance. Maintains accurate and complete records of assigned project activities.* Performs routine inventory audits, collects data, and performs analysis to maintain the program viability.* Responds to and resolves questions and concerns regarding asset and inventory controls from County personnel, outside agencies, vendors, and the public.* Enforces safety policies and procedures.* Maintains a full-time presence on the job.* Performs other duties as assigned.Candidates for the Project Specialist-Asset Management are encouraged to apply if they meet the following minimum qualifications:* Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related course of study to the occupational field. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.* Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, associated with three to five years of experience in project management, asset control management and/or inventory control management.* Equivalent combination of education, experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities to thoroughly understand and perform the major duties of the position.* Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license and any other endorsements necessary to legally operate vehicles used while assigned to this position.* Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills to serve others.* Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language.* Must be able to operate a computer.NOTE TO APPLICANTS:Candidates may apply through St. Johns County's Online Application System: must be submitted through St. Johns County's Online Application System in order to be considered.
