This role is responsible for profitable field operations. The Project Superintendent plays a critical role in establishing a safety culture on the jobsite and will work closely with the Project Manager to manage schedule, budget, and staff to achieve the best outcome possible. This role will also create/maintain effective client, vendor, supplier, and subcontractor relationships.What You'll Do:* Act as the primary leader of subcontractors and field forces on a job site* Maintain project safety in accordance with the Company's Safety Policy* Develop and update the project schedule* Prepare two-week look ahead schedules* Update project schedules utilizing computerized scheduling software* Assist with the buyout and selection of major subcontractors* Coordinate the work of the subcontractors' field forces* Communicate effectively with owners, designers, and engineers* Maintain accurate cost reports* Ensure all required paperwork is completed, accurate, and timely* Adhere to all company policies, standards, and procedures* Provide opportunities to help the team develop, learn, and grow* Foster positive relationships with both internal and external partiesWhat We're Looking For:* Experience:* 5-10 years of Project Superintendent experience required* Commercial construction experience working for a general contractor (GC)* Experience in education, municipal, hospitality, aviation, and/or senior living construction is desired* Experience with safety, preconstruction, staff development/retention, and customer advocacy* Skills:* Ability to read/interpret construction documents* Knowledge of construction methods and materials* Excellent project organizational skills* Impressive leadership skills with the desire to teach, mentor, and develop a team* Business acumen and relationship building skills* Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels of the organization* Technology:* Proficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook* Systems experience with Prolog, JDE, and SureTrak is a plus* Ability to learn specific job-related software upon hireWhat We Offer:* Competitive Pay* Rewarding Bonus Program* Comprehensive Benefits Package with Tax-Advantaged HSA and FSA offerings* Employer-Paid Short- and Long-Term Disability Programs* Employer-Paid Life Insurance* Generous Paid Time Off Provisions* 401K Retirement Savings Plan with Company Match* Tuition Reimbursement* Fully Paid Parental Leave* Voluntary Products Including: Critical Illness Insurance and Accident Insurance* Corporate Wellness Program with Wellness Time Off and RewardsVisa sponsorship is not available for this position at this time.The Company does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firms or agencies.
