Job Description Superintendent Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of 7 years as a superintendent for construction projects such as renovation and upgrades of existing facilities with a commercial or industrial general contractor Experience supervising and managing crafts people and multiple subcontractors on multiple construction and repair projects Previous JOC experience preferred Basic computer understanding including e-mail, MS Office and internet access Good oral communication skills Good time management and organizational skills Ability to work well in a team environment OSHA 10 certificate is preferred Red Cross First and CPR certifications are preferred Scope of Responsibility: Assist the project manager in managing on going projects. Responsible for the day-to-day supervision, coordination and quality control of subcontractors and craft personnel. Ensures the safety and well-being of employees at project sites. Updates the project schedule and ensures that project deadlines are met. Position Duties: Ability to acquire and maintain OSHA Safety Course Certification, Red Cross First Aid, and CPR Certification Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and job site operations for job order contracts in accordance with drawings and specifications . Review and provide input on project scope of work and development. Help to establish and maintain project schedules including start, progress, and completion schedules. Control all job site operations for compliance with contract requirements, noise and dust control, non-interruption of Owner activities, and utility shutdown procedures. Provide daily Safety awareness and inspections to ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel at the job sites. Provide job site quality control checks to ensure the construction and materials are in accordance with project scope of work and Owner standards. Prepare and submit accurate, detailed, electronic daily reports for the project. Together with the Project Manager, prepare agenda and hold job progress meetings with subcontractors to coordinate project progress with minutes distributed to all parties.
