Within the spirit of Making People's Dreams Come True , this position is responsible for overseeing scenic design projects, maintenance and repair and warehouse inventory. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers. Responsibilities:
- Communicate with management and design team to share necessary deadlines, changes and other details pertaining to daily operational duties.
- Participate in bi-weekly interdepartmental meetings to ensure awareness and understanding of all upcoming events and how these projects may impact workload and/or deadlines.
- Support Town Square events with setup and strike of scenic elements.
- Use proper handling to stock and package supplies for warehouse and off-site locations and upcoming events.
- Responsible for taking conceptual designs and further developing into the next design phases.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all scenic elements, properties and equipment.
- Assist in setup and breakdown of Special Events.
- All other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Customarily and regularly directs the work of two or more full-time employees or the equivalent and has the authority to make decisions regarding the hiring, firing, and promotion of these direct reports. Education & Experience Requirements:
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two (2) year college or technical school; or two (2) years of related experience and/or training in scenic fabrication or design industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Required to work outdoors, nights, weekends and holidays based on business needs.
- Excellent time management towards meeting deadlines is a requirement.
- Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedural manuals and blueprints.
- This position is subjected to The Villages Vehicle Safety Program and its policies as it requires the use of personal vehicles for company business.
- A Valid Driver's License with a record acceptable to company standards is required for this position.
