Job Description - Project Support Specialist (2403964)Project Support SpecialistRequired Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume) :Bachelor's degree in Social Welfare or related fields. Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a pediatric outpatient setting. Experience with Cerner power chart. Experience working with children with autism diagnosis. Experience leading support groups.Brief Description of Duties:Provides social work services to families seen by the Early Childhood Clinic. This includes but is not limited to conducting psychosocial histories, leading first-time autism diagnosis groups, leading sibling support groups, family follow-up after initial consult, connecting families with resources such as Early Intervention, Committee for Preschool Special Education, Committee for Special Education, Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, coordinating and/or providing educational talks to ECC families, and collaborating with the team.Duties:Leading sibling support groups.Family follow-up after initial consult.Connecting families with resources such as Early Intervention, Committee for Preschool Special Education, Committee for Special Education, Office for People with Developmental Disabilities.Coordinating and/or providing educational talks to ECC families.Collaborating with the team.Other duties are assigned by Project Director.Special Notes:The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation.
