No matter the project or scope, our clients enjoy problem-solving and service that goes beyond the expected. We are looking for a Project Surveyor to join our Springfield, Missouri team. Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee survey projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Sign and seal survey drawings in accordance with applicable regulations, standards, and professional guidelines.
  • Coordinate utility locates to ensure accurate mapping of existing infrastructure.
  • Review and verify survey drawings, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to project requirements.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, such as easements, right-of-way documents, and land descriptions.
  • Collaborate with project teams and clients to understand project objectives, provide expert advice, and offer innovative solutions.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks, meeting project deadlines, and delivering work of the highest quality.
  • Champion OWN's five guiding principles, fostering a culture of ownership, responsiveness, mutual success, and fun.
Qualifications
  • Licensed PLS in Missouri with the ability to obtain licensure in the adjoining state.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed PLS, demonstrating a track record of successful project execution.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a focus on mentoring and developing survey staff, both in the field and office.
  • Extensive experience in boundary, topographical, and ALTA surveys, as well as construction staking and the use of UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles).
  • Proficiency in preparing CAD drawings, utilizing software such as Civil 3D, Pix4D, Carlson Survey, or equivalent.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, while also being self-motivated and customer service-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to sit for a long period of time
