Project Surveyor

Up to $116,197/annually

Golden Valley, MN

This position will supervise survey operations, assemble, and evaluate survey data relating to construction, location, and right of way projects within the district. This position will determine r/w boundary lines, property lines and perform plat retracement & PLS retracement surveys. This position will produce technically precise data and documents consistent with MnDOT standards and policies, as well as State and Federal Laws. This position will also supervise Metro Surveys staff to include Transportation Specialists, Transportation Generalist/Sr. and Engineering Specialists.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Land Surveyor Senior applicants:

• Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID) or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.

Land Surveyor in Training applicants:

• Bachelors degree in land surveying from an ABET accredited college/university or equivalent.
• A passing score on the Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) exam.
• Two years of post-graduate level land surveying experience.

Experience at both levels must include:

• Knowledge of various computer software packages such as MicroStation and other CADD related software.
• Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
