- Review revenues, expenses, invoices, and other accounting documents to complete month-end close for properties, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare and enter journal entries, including, accruals, amortizations, deposits, and reclassifications.
- Perform bank reconciliations, deposit checks, issue checks, book cash transfers, and process resident refunds.
- Compile and analyze financial statements for internal review, investors, and lenders on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Communicate with on-site and other property managers to support pre-close and close activities, answer questions, and ensure timely completion of accounting processes.
- Train and mentor new team members.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of multi-entity accounting experience
- Associate's degree in accounting, bachelor's degree in accounting (Preferred)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Previous experience in Property Management accounting (Preferred)
- Previous experience utilizing Entrata (Preferred)
